Final Project

I have 2 ideas in mind for my final project. My first idea is more of an activity to teach young children about racial differences. They would get to see how people might all look different but be similar on the inside. I would use this activity to show rules, control, and personal agency both private and public. The children will use the game to learn not to discriminate people by what they look like and get a sense of culture and understanding of how different yet similar people can be.

AUDIENCE – This activity will be aimed towards 1st or 2nd graders.

RESEARCH – Using lesson plans from early grade school teaching techniques. Tips and info given out at teaching/teacher seminars to help aid teachers and give them simple but efficient ways to get their point across in what they are teaching.

MEDIUM – My project will be a hands on activity. I will bring in a bowl/basket and some oranges.
